A residential and holiday park in Congleton, covering some 30 acres, required a complete fibre optic network with WiFi connectivity for owners’ lodges. Another contractor had begun the project but left it incomplete, leaving the client in need of a trusted partner to finalise and deliver the installation.
Milkshake was approached to step in, initially on a consultancy basis and to assess the partially completed work.
This contract was then handed us to take the project through to successful completion and we were tasked with not just providing/installing the equipment but with providing sales support to the park staff to help sell this WiFi service to the park residents.

- Inheriting an incomplete project started by another contractor.
- Assessing the condition of pre-installed cabling and identifying gaps in the equipment/cabling and making corrections where needed.
- Coordinating installation with electrical contractors and making sure there was minimal disruption to lodge owners and guests while the network was completed.
Objectives
- Terminate and configure the existing fibre optic cabling.
- Install and configure WiFi units across lodges for both residential and holiday users.
- Make sure there is a Staff WiFi network throughout the park.
- Provide reliable, high-speed connectivity that met the expectations of the client and their customers.
- Ensure clear communication, documentation, and support throughout the process.
- Provide a WiFi management system for engineers and staff to help with client management, WiFi access and Pay per use Guest Wifi network.

Assessment
Carried out a detailed review of the existing infrastructure and cabling to ensure compatibility and quality.
Termination & Configuration
Completed termination of the fibre optic cabling and tested for performance and reliability.
WiFi Installation
Installed and configured WiFi units across the lodges, ensuring optimal coverage and ease of access.
Customer Support
In phase one with provided the holiday park management detailed sales documentation to be sent to their clients with detailed pricing and sales information.
Once phase two was complete and we began installing the WiFi network, we worked directly with the client’s lodge owners to get them online, providing guidance and technical assistance.
Documentation & Communication
Supplied clear sales documentation, progress updates, and post-installation support.
Results & Feedback
The project was delivered on time and to a high standard, with full network functionality across the park.
Fibre optic cabling and electrical installations of equipment was installed by our local contractor, Boars Electrical
Lodge owners successfully connected to high-speed WiFi, with ongoing support available from Milkshake.
The client was extremely satisfied with the professional approach, clear communication, and the quality of the final installation.
